Do Executive and Leadership coaches need qualifications?
Although qualifications are not necessary to work as an executive coach I have an International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited qualification with Animas. I am accredited with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). This demonstrates I have the knowledge and skills to be a coach. Both the ICF and EMCC are organisations which promote gold standards in coaching setting out clear standards and ethics .
I also receive regular supervision with a trained supervisor and participate in continued professional development. Both help to ensure my practice is of a high standard, knowledge based and ethical.
I also have a post graduate leadership qualification, management and programme and project management qualifications.
